Seasonal events and informal gatherings help preserve the friendly community spirit of the club.
GMSC is maintained by its members, for its members. Everyone plays a role in keeping the club welcoming, clean, safe, and enjoyable.
Membership
Gregory Manor Swim Club is not open to the general public. Membership is generally obtained by purchasing a bond when one becomes available, subject to club procedures, applicable fees, and Board approval.
GMSC is limited to a maximum of 75 family memberships. Each family membership in good standing is entitled to one vote on matters submitted to the general membership. Membership is based on the purchase of a bond and is subject to the club bylaws and rules.
Fees, dues, assessments, bond prices, and procedures are subject to the bylaws, annual club action, and Board oversight.
Events
Gregory Manor Swim Club is at its best when members come together. Event dates, times, and details are shared with members during the season.
Members may request to host parties at the club, subject to club rules and approval. More than six guests is considered a party. Approved parties generally take place Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, require a lifeguard, and may not exceed 50 individuals including members.
Member-hosted events may not exclude other club members from using the pool and facilities.
Member Expectations
Membership is more than access to a swimming pool. GMSC members help preserve the club’s family-oriented atmosphere, maintain the grounds, follow safety expectations, and care for a club that belongs to the membership.
Members and guests are expected to treat one another, lifeguards, and club volunteers with courtesy and respect. Abusive, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior is not consistent with the spirit of the club.
All members and guests use the pool and facilities at their own risk. Parents, guardians, and designated caregivers are responsible for supervising children while on club property.
Guests are welcome when accompanied by a sponsoring member. All guests must be signed in, and members are responsible for guest behavior and guest fees.
Members should help keep the grounds clean and attractive, dispose of trash properly, and treat club furniture, common areas, and equipment with care.
Members and guests must follow posted pool rules, including rules for swim tests, diving, food, glass, floats, swimmies, and adult swim.
GMSC succeeds because members volunteer, attend meetings, support events, and contribute to the shared work of maintaining the club.
